for Djembekan
All over the best venues in Manchester (deaf institute, KRAAK gallery, academy 3, the attic, antwerp mansion and more), over 2 years. All the visual were created for the show and have evolve all through the years. The narrative background was inspired by ancient west african creation myth. We added a futuristic digital twist to match all the musical influences of the band which was composed of a full traditional west african rhythm band (including solo djembe Sidiki Dembele) and two Mancunian electro/dub/dubstep artists as well as two spanish percussionists.
A french visual artist was the missing part of the puzzle. After strong live success the band unfortunately splitted.
